STAFF at Westbury Mercedes-Benz Vans and Trucks Dealer Group, Rygor Commercials, have chosen their charities to support in 2019.

Rygor’s Charities of the Year initiative was set up in 2015 to enable the company’s team to nominate and vote to support charities which benefit some of the local communities which the company calls home. Over the past few years, Rygor has raised more than £35,000 for eight local charities.

This year the Rygor team will be fundraising for Hope for Tomorrow, Dorothy House Hospice Care and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Hope for Tomorrow is bringing cancer care closer to patients’ homes via mobile cancer care units (MCCUs). Wiltshire Air Ambulance provides an essential helicopter emergency medical service in Wiltshire and surrounding areas. Dorothy House Hospice Care provides compassionate care and support for people in the Wiltshire community with a life-limiting illness.

Tim Stacey, Rygor managing director, said: “As a team we are greatly looking forward to supporting these three fantastic causes throughout 2019. Our Charities of the Year initiative gives Rygor the opportunity to give back to local charities. I know that these three worthwhile charities are very close to the hearts of our team and no doubt we will all come together over the next 12 months to fundraise for them.”

Beth Gardner, fundraising manager at Wiltshire Air Ambulance, commented: “We’re delighted that Rygor, with many branches near to us, has chosen its local air ambulance to support as one of their charities of the year. Business support from across Wiltshire plays a key role in keeping our air ambulance flying and saving lives, so to have a big national brand like Rygor backing us is fantastic. We look forward to working closely with the Rygor team on their fundraising efforts throughout 2019, which I’m sure will provide huge benefits for their staff and customers alike.”

Henrietta Beard, corporate fundraiser at Dorothy House Hospice Care, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen by the staff at Rygor Commercials to be one of their chosen charities this year. The team at Rygor have achieved outstanding fundraising results in the past and are always extremely motivated in their support of Dorothy House. I look forward to working with them again in 2019.”

Jessie Easterby, fundraising manager at Hope for Tomorrow said: “We are delighted to be a new charity partner of Rygor for 2019. It’s heart-warming to have been chosen as we have worked with them for a number of years as they look after our fleet of HGVs and without them we wouldn’t be able to deliver our vital service. We look forward to developing our relationship even further and are very grateful for their continued support.”
