THE Hope Nature Centre is staging a fun day next Saturday to celebrate the re-opening of its newly-refurbished kitchen and café.

It will take place from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, February 16 at the Southwick centre for the local community to come and see the new facilities.

There will be face painting, glitter tattoos, Tropical Discovery Workshops, an Active Trowbridge Sports Roadshow, hot food and refreshments and plenty of fun for all the family. The centre received a £25,000 Masonic Grant for the refurbishment, which was completed in January.

The new-look café is now open to the public and has a green and grey colour scheme, new tablecloths and chairs to match the Fairfield College corporate colours.

Event organiser Debbie Hughes said: “The refurbishment of the kitchen and café will give us a larger working environment for the centre’s trainees who will be able to gain more skills from working in the redesigned kitchen and servery area.

“This will enable the centre to support more adults with learning difficulties to access work experience opportunities.”
