Adver Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players in today’s 3-2 away at Milton Keynes Dons in League Two.
LAWRENCE VIGOUROUX – 8
Not much chance with either goal but some crucial saves either side of that to keep Dons at bay. Booked for time wasting late on.
KYLE KNOYLE – 6.5
Decent enough on the right without doing anything spectacular. Was a useful outlet.
DION CONROY – 7
Handed in a rare start and slotted in nicely. Creases in his game can be ironed out but solid overall.
TOM BROADBENT – 7
Reliable at the back and one crucial block in particular stifled the home side early in the second half.
MATT TAYLOR – 6
Glimpses of promise but struck down by injury early on and had to come off.
JAK MCCOURT – 7
Was prominent and seemed keen to make an impression. Harried the Dons players in the middle of the park.
DANNY ROSE – 7.5
Encouraging first start. Was there to mop up when play broke up and kick-started attacks. Lack of game time meant he faded and was replaced.
KESHI ANDERSON – 7.5
Manager Wellens admitted the goal saved him from being taken off, but it was a stunning effort and cut MK’s resurgence.
MICHAEL DOUGHTY – 9
A return to top form with a classy display. Even without his goals, was at the heart of everything that was good about Town’s play. Subbed late on.
KAIYNE WOOLERY – 7
Ran the channels well and won the crucial penalty. Gave the home defenders a few scares with his pace.
THEO ROBINSON – 7.5
Very good debut. Was lively throughout with his clever runs and movement and probably should have had a goal too.
Substitutes:
ALI KOIKI – 6.5
(For Taylor, 26) Thrust into action early on and showed good pace.
JAMES DUNNE – 6
(For Rose, 62) Helped stiffen up Town in midfield.
CANICE CARROLL – 6
(For Doughty, 82) Added extra cover at the back to close out the game.
Subs not used: Luke McCormick, Marc Richards, Ben House, Kyle Bennett.
