A MAN in his 20's has sustained life threatening injuries following a stabbing in the car park of Tesco Extra in Trowbridge last night and another man in his 20's has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police have cordoned off an area of the Tesco Extra car park in County Way, Trowbridge after a stabbing at 11.15pm last night.

Half of the car park including the footpath across the zebra crossing and onto the wooden bridge that leads into the town park has been closed.

Officers are protecting the scene and forensics have been in attendance.

A police spokesman said: "Two people have been injured in a stabbing in Trowbridge.

"We were called to the Tesco Extra car park in County Way, Trowbridge, at 11.15pm last night.

"We were at the scene within four minutes and quickly began a search of the area.

"One victim, a man in his 20s, has been taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with life-threatening injuries.

"A second victim, also a man in his 20s, has been taken to the Royal United Hospital with minor injuries and is expect to be discharged this morning.

"Nobody has been arrested at this stage.
