A 'COUNTY lines' dealer who was involved in bringing hard drugs to Westbury from Bristol has been warned he is facing jail.

Tristen Thompson pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine in August last year.

But following a trial at Swindon Crown Court a jury found the 19-year-old guilty of both charges.

Adjourning the case for sentencing, a judge told him he gave a 'cock and bull story in the witness box'.

Thompson, from Bristol, was arrested after police raided a property in Westbury and found a 17-year-old who was dealing drugs from the address.

Officers found links between the pair as the older teenager's phone had been used to direct him in the sale of the drugs.

Thompson was arrested in Bristol and claimed that he had not been the one 'running' Moore, even though messages from him to his mum were alongside drugs texts on the phone.

During his trial he claimed he was not involved in dealing, but the panel of eight women and four men found him guilty.

Adjourning the case for a report and remanding him in custody Judge Robert Pawson said "You have been convicted on strong evidence of two serious offences.

"You are still very young and reading between the lines you have had a difficult first 19 years but you have got to understand, this case is only going in one direction.

"At the moment I can see nothing other than custody.

"I am grateful for the way you conducted yourself though the trial, other than the fact you told a cock and bull story in the witness box."

Moore pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine at a hearing last year. The 18-year-old, who was 17 at the time of the offences, admitted his involvement in the trade between August 8-12.
