ONE of the world’s most famous actors has again been spotted in and around Lacock Abbey while filming the third instalment in the ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ series.

Johnny Depp is reprising his role of Gellert Grindelwald in the movie, which follows Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 1 and 2.

The American actor will be making his third appearance as dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in the movie. Jude Law has also been cast as a young Albus Dumbledore.

Other cast members who are likely to come back for the third movie include Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone (or is it Aurelius Dumbledore?), and Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander.

Fantastic Beasts director David Yates, who also helmed the last four Harry Potter movies, has signed on to direct all of the upcoming films in the series.

Fantastic Beasts 3 is scheduled for release in November 2020, continuing the pattern of the first film (November 2016) and its sequel (November 2018) but nothing has been confirmed.

The fourth and fifth films are yet to receive release dates, but November 2022 and November 2024 would continue the pattern.

The adventures are set in the same universe that author J K Rowling created in the earlier Harry Potter series.

It is likely to have numerous direct links to the world the author first created in her books and which was shown on screen in the movies starring Daniel Radcliffe as the bespectacled wizard.

The first and second fantasy films in the five-part series are a spin-off/prequel to the Harry Potter film series, which was also filmed in Lacock.
