Celebrating Age Wiltshire teamed up with Trowbridge Library, Creative Minds and Trowbridge Museum to celebrate the weaving heritage of the town.

Children and the older generation came together to try their hand at different types of weaving.

Rebecca Seymour from the Celebrating Age Wiltshire project said: “I usually work with the elderly generation but we wanted to do something with both older people and children as it fell during the Easter holidays.”

Trowbridge Museum brought some historical handling objects from their collection.

Grace Dalgleish, Creative Minds artist who is ran the activity said: “The activity day was to encourage people of all ages to experience weaving, by creating their own pieces of woven art, watching a willow weaving demonstration, or taking part in a larger woven work on a specially-made loom which will be on display in the library after the event.”
