MORE than 130 scouts and leaders from the Wiltshire West District Scouts took part in an Activity/Challenge Camp at PGL Liddington site at the end of March.
They included 27 Beavers, 70 Cubs, 16 Scouts, four Explorer Scouts and 17 Leaders from five groups.
With ten activity zones to take part in over the weekend, the scouts described them as ‘awesome’, ‘epic’ and ‘cool’.
Activities included a zip wire and trapeze, aeroball, crate challenge, survivor, sensory trail and survivor were undertaken with great enthusiasm.
The Scouts and Explorers also did buggy building, canoeing, mountain biking, vertical challenge and Jacobs Ladder which gave them the challenge and adventure.
District Commissioner Chris Broom said: “The weekend encouraged everyone to work as a team and gave them the opportunity to try new things. Robot Wars and Splash were enjoyed on the Saturday evening.”
“We all had a fantastic time and some of the younger scouts were asleep within five minutes of leaving the site.
“The PGL team was led by Tom, Steve and Dan who proved to be excellent ambassadors for the centre and the instructor team was once again superb.”
