A double-fronted shop at 14-16 Edward Street, Westbury, is to go under the auctioneer’s hammer in May.

The property, on a 999-year lease and guided at £50,000-plus, is among 138 lots being sold by regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson of Fareham.

Clive Emson’s third of eight auctions for the year takes place at 11am on Friday, May 3, at the Solent Hotel & Spa, Rookery Avenue, Whiteley, near Portsmouth.

The independent firm raised more than £16 million from 134 lots catalogued for the March auction, with a sale rate in excess of 70 per cent.

Managing Director James Emson said the firm has introduced a new online-only auction service for vendors and purchasers to run alongside its hotel auctions.

“Our new service complements this, offering a new dimension to our business and extending the options available to both our clients and customers.

“In today’s fast-moving, technological age it is imperative to keep ahead of the curve.”
