THE Bradford on Avon Lions club are celebrating the success of young people in the town with their new outstanding achievement award.

The awards are open to those aged 15-18 and nominees must demonstrate that they have made an outstanding contribution in one of several areas including sports achievements, overcoming personal difficulties, hobbies and interests, volunteering, caring for others, participation in school activities, environmental projects, community projects or enterprise activities.

Three trophies will be presented to first, second and third and cash prizes will be given.

Phil Courage, from Bradford on Avon Lions Club, said: “We felt that we would like to support, acknowledge and encourage the youth of Bradford on Avon and surrounding villages who have made a significant achievement, either in their personal life- or supporting the community.”
