Michelle Donelan MP visited St Michael's Pre-School in their new facilities in Hilperton. The bespoke building was funded partly by a government grant of £170,000 and cash from Wiltshire Council's Trowbridge Area Board and the fundraising efforts of staff and parents, with significant support from local businesses. The building can accommodate around 40 children in a bright and airy atmosphere perfect for learning and developing. Michelle was shown the outdoor areas where the children were playing, getting dirty and learning, finding it a real pleasure to meet happy, engaging children who were confident and happy to chat and answer questions.
Michelle said “I was very impressed with the new bespoke building which is perfect for a safe learning and playing space. l enjoyed chatting and rolling up my sleeves to make some Play Dough cakes. The government and council money has gone a long way enabling this fantastic village pre school to flourish.”
