POLICE appealing for witnesses to a robbery they are investigating in Warminster.

During the early hours of April 21, a 20-year-old man was approached by another man in Emwell Street who held an unknown metal object to his throat and demanded he hand over his belongings.

It is believed the suspect made off in a red Vauxhall Corsa with a male passenger in the front.

PC Hannah Milburn said: “Our enquiries have been ongoing into this incident since it was initially reported.

"As part of these enquiries we have interviewed a man in his 20s from Frome who has since been released under investigation.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Emwell Street area of Warminster between 12.30am and 1.15am on April 21, who may have witnessed the incident, and seen those involved.

“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV in the area, or anyone who was driving along the main road at the time who may have dash-cam footage which could help with our enquiries.”
