HOMOPHOBIC verbal abuse which was shouted at a girl and a boy in McDonald's in Trowbridge has lead police to appeal for witnesses after the altercation.
The incident happened at around 6pm on Tuesday April 30 when a 12-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, who are related to each other, were verbally abused by a teenage boy.
Nobody was injured or assaulted, but some of the abuse was homophobic.
Police are particularly keen to speak to a man who was queuing for food at the time and was stood close by, and a man who remonstrated with the teenage boy outside the restaurant, which is in the Spitfire Retail Park.
Anyone with information should call PC Tom Carver on 101, quoting crime reference 54190041451. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
