ARBORISTS and other tree care professionals get together at Westonbirt Arboretum on Friday and Saturday May 17 and 18.

They will visiting The Arboricultural Association Show 2019, one of the highlight on their annual calendar of events.

They come together to celebrate the science of trees, to discover the latest tools and kit, and much more.

Members of the public are also invited to join in the festivities, and there will be the chance to gain tree care help and advice from professionals.

Visitors will be able to watch demonstrations from tree surgeons and main show sponsor STIHL, and to see the UK Climbing Competition, which has daring climbers testing their skills high in the canopy of Westonbirt’s magnificent cedars.

There is also plenty to keep the family entertained, with a kids tree climbing area, a zip wire, and back by popular demand this year – a climbing wall.

Paul Cody, Head of Visitor Attraction at Westonbirt Arboretum said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming the ARB Show back to the Arboretum for the third year running.

“The show gives our visitors an exciting opportunity to meet the professionals that work with the nation’s trees.

“Westonbirt’s youth forum, Wild Westonbirt, will be showcasing some traditional tools such as the cross cut saw, and making woodland mobiles for children.”

Entrance to the show is £10 per adult (which includes access to the Arboretum) or free for members of the Arboricultural Association, the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum and ISA members.
