HOME player Rory Cameron was the overall gross winner of Upavon Golf Club’s Junior Open last weekend.

Considering there was a clash of dates with the U18 Elite squad training all day, there was still a strong turnout at the event with 31 entrants in total.

Cameron, aged 14, won the gross prize with a score of 70, with North Wilts’ Bradley Smith runner-up on countback from Marlborough’s Oscar Oliver after both scored 77.

In the nett competition, Waterlooville’s Seb Lowe was triumphant with a score of 67. Lilliana Marshall, from Farringdon Park, was second on 68, Chippenham’s Jake Attiwell was third on countback ahead of Marlborough player Finley Mulvey after both scored 71.
