MILLIONS of people are expected to get in their cars today to make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend.

The RAC predicts that 6.6 million separate trips are planned for today alone with 22 million leisure trips expected to be taken by car in the UK between yesterday and Monday.

An accident earlier today (Saturday) eastbound on the M4 between junctions 16 and 17 caused delays.

The M5 is looking busy in places especially southbound between junctions 14 and 15.

Wiltshire tourist attractions such as Bowood, near Calne and Longleat near Warminster are set to be busy.

Chippenham Folk Festival is also likely to lead to some congestion around the town.
