THE next concert in the Edington Arts series in the Priory Church is on Saturday, June 22 at 7.30pm, when one of the best mixed voice consorts to emerge in the last few years will perform a captivating programme of music ancient and modern.
SANSARA has been hailed as ‘the acapella sound of the future’ by Peter Phillips, Director of The Tallis Scholars.
This group of musicians has already won the London International A Capella Choir Competition, and has released a CD which has been featured on BBC Radio 3’s The Choir, Breakfast and Essential Classics programmes.
It will also sing exciting pieces by the leading contemporary composers Judith Weir and Marco Galvani, the choir’s Associate Composer, whose Tantum ergo was commissioned by the Edington Music Festival for the 60th festival in 2015.
