Grand opening
FROXFIELD: Brendon Care Home in Froxfield is celebrating their 35th Birthday on Friday, June 28, with a grand opening of a newly built conservatory. From 11am-4pm the will be live music and live farm animals visiting. Family and friends welcome.
Open garden
SHALBOURNE: Mount Prosperous, Bitham Lane, three miles south of Hungerford, is open to the public on Saturday. It was the home to the 18th century agriculturalist Jethro Tull and includes a full size working model of his seed drill. The garden has herbaceous borders, a pond, a cascade, a walled rose garden, an Italian pool garden, a woodland walk, and if you get thirsty they are serving gin.
Blue plaque
MARLBOROUGH: Tomorrow, (Friday) at 4pm a new blue plaque for the founder of Save the Children Eglantyne Jebb will be unveiled at Marlborough Library, the building where she taught the children of St Peter's School from 1899 to 1900.
Pewsey booters
