MORE than 400 people attended a mini-music festival in Bradford on Avon at the weekend which was held in aid of the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group.

The musical event, held over two evenings at the Boathouse pub and restaurant raised £2,600 for the charity.

Local promoter Mark Green brought together 12 bands and a choir with more than 40 singers. Acts included Lix’n’Stix, In the Shadows of Santana, The Decades, Fortunate Sons and Folk Lift Truck.

Local businesses donated prizes for a raffle which raised £900, with the rest of the money coming from the sale of tickets for the event.

Festival organiser Ian Grant, who is a member of the BCUSG’s Trowbridge fundraising committee said: “It was an extremely enjoyable weekend and the lovely weather was a great bonus.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to all who performed and to everyone who came along to support the vital work of the BCUSG.”
