A NEW Non-Executive Director is being sought to join the Board of Directors at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.

The new candidate will replace Nigel Sullivan, whose term has come to an end.

Alison Ryan, Trust Chair said: “Non‐Executive Directors play a crucial role in bringing an independent perspective to the boardroom in addition to any specific knowledge and skills they may have.“We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join our board and contribute their skills and expertise to develop healthcare for our local community and beyond.

“The future will be about organisations working more closely together to deliver the best quality experience and outcomes for patients in a sustainable way. We have already started this journey and are pioneering new ventures and new ways of working.“It’s an exciting time to join our organisation as we continue our programme of redevelopment which will transform our site and further improve the services we provide.”

“We’re near to completing our new RNHRD and Brownsword Therapies Centre and relocating staff and services from the Mineral Water Hospital, after which we will be starting our biggest ever project – the new Dyson Cancer Centre.”

Mr Sullivan said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed the last seven years as a Non-Executive Director at the RUH.

“It is a fantastic organisation delivering critical services at the heart of our communities across BANES, Wiltshire and Somerset.

“This is an amazing opportunity for a new Non-Executive Director to make a significant contribution to the board of directors, our governors, patients and staff.”
