THE Angel Inn, a Grade II listed pub and guest house in Heytesbury near Warminster, used by both local residents and tourists, has gone on sale.

The pub is still open and is being managed on a short term basis by Leigh Cuthbert while a new buyer is found.

The pub has an open plan bar with lounge area for around 30 people, as well as a restaurant for up to 50 diners. The first floor has five en-suite rooms for guests, along with private accommodation. Outside there’s an enclosed patio area for up to 20 people, along with the car park.

Licensed property specialist, James A Baker, has been appointed by pub retailer and brewer, Greene King, to the market the premises, which has a guide price of £450,000 plus VAT.

Charlie Noad, of James A Baker, said: “The sale offers a great opportunity to acquire the freehold of a characterful Grade II listed building in a charming village setting.”

“The building has a tremendous amount of scope for existing use as a destination pub with five en-suite letting rooms but also has potential for change of use subject to the necessary permissions.”
