A CALL has gone out for people practical people who are good with their hands and enjoy DIY to help create a men's shed in Bradford on Avon.
Supported by Bradford on Avon Dementia Action Alliance an event will take place on Friday, June 28, at the Coach House, at the Swan Hotel in the town.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: "If you are practical and like working with your hands but would like to work with or alongside some like-minded people then come along to a public meeting to find out more."
The reception and information evening runs from 6-7.30pm with a drinks bar where drinks can be ordered before the presentations from organisers of ‘The Shed’ Melksham and ‘The Brunel Shed’ Corsham are given.
Men's sheds are community spaces for men to connect, converse and create. The activities help reduce loneliness and isolation, but most importantly, they’re fun and a way to make friends.
