DONATIONS for stress-busting workplace massages have helped a Trowbridge company’s employees to raise funds for charity as part of their support for Carers Week.
Staff at Nutricia on the White Horse Business Park donated £682.79 to the Trowbridge branch of Alzheimer’s Support, which helps people living with dementia.
The cash was raised from hundreds of small donations of £2.50 or more for workplace head and shoulder massages.
The firm’s general manager, Filippo Delle Torre, presented a large cheque to the charity’s local fundraising officer Laura Crouch, last Thursday, June 13.
Miss Crouch said: “It’s great to see a company raising money in an interesting way that also benefits everyone, including the employees.
“The amount they raised through donations for massages could fund nearly 28 hours of a support worker spending time with someone who has dementia, helping them to live well and not feel so isolated.”
