TWO people were arrested in Warminster in the early hours of Tuesday (Tuesday, July 2) morning on suspicion of drug offences.
Shortly before 2am officers were made aware of a vehicle believed to be involved in drug supply in the area. They later stopped a BMW Cabriolet in Pound Street.
There was a strong smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle and a search was carried out of the car and both of the occupants.
A large box was found on the rear passenger seat which contained a large amount of suspected cocaine. Cash totalling £2,000 and drugs paraphernalia were also found and seized.
A 33-year-old man from Warminster was arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving, possession of a class A drug and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
An 18-year-old woman from Warminster was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
The pair have been released under investigation. Enquiries are continuing.
