A Warminster man's hopes of building on a plot in the town have been dismissed by a planning inspector on appeal and his plans refused.
Nigel Weir had appealed against Wiltshire Council's failure to determine his planning application within the prescribed time limit.
He had wanted to build nine two-bedroomed homes and provide associated parking and landscaping on land north of Brook Street and west of Playground, Brook Street, Warminster.
The council said it would have refused the scheme because of concerns about its impact on the character of the area.
