MORE than 40 cyclists belong to the Woolley Wheelers have raised around £1,000 for the Dorothy House Hospice at Winsley.
They gathered outside The George public house in Woolley Green on Sunday (July 7) for a 26-mile ride out.
Alison Ward-Baptiste, from The George, said: "They are each paying about £10 and we are raising around £600 from external sources.
"We are hoping to raise around £1,000 to donate to the Dorothy House Hospice at Winsley."
The ride out was led by John Boyce, who took the cyclists on their usual route out to Trowbridge, West Ashton and Edington before turning at Worton and heading back home.
Afterwards, the cyclists enjoyed a barbecue in the beer garden at The George, where the club members meet regularly on Sunday mornings from 9am.
