AN art exhibition was held in The Shires on Saturday as young people from the Trowbridge Community Area Fund have been taking part in a new environmental project.

The project was based on the waste on our planet and the effect of not recycling.

The young people created the art with the help of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and used recycling waste in many of their pieces which they collected when they took part in a litter pick.

Five people also took part in photography workshop and explored different techniques.

All the work was displayed for the public to see.

Zoe Meaden from TCAF said: “The event went really well, we had quite a few members of the public of all ages who came in to have a look at the exhibition.

“We also received some really great comments from members of the public.

“We had a few children turn up, and really got their hands stuck in with the interactive artwork which was going on in the background. Overall it was really successful.
