THE second of two quiz nights held by the Family Team of Farnfields Solicitors on behalf of Warminster children's charitable organisation Jacob's Ladder was another resounding success raising over £740 for the charity.

The quiz night was held at The George Inn at Longbridge Deverill, which hosted and supported the event.

Jacob's Ladder, run by Kirsty and Paul Holdsworth together with their passionate team of volunteers, is a not-for-profit community organisation that supports children and young adults aged 2-19 with special needs through fun and stimulating projects in a safe and understanding environment.

With an after school club, holiday play schemes, family days and stay and play events, much emphasis is placed on sensory play, getting outdoors and those activities that will leave positive lasting memories for all those involved.

Kirsty Holdsworth, from Jacobs Ladder, said: "Farnfields organised such a brilliant evening and I would like to say thank you to everyone who attended and donated in some way."

"It was clear how much work had gone into making the evening the success that it was, and we were touched by how many people from the local community came to help support Jacob's Ladder.

"We were thrilled with the amount raised, and these funds will go towards exciting activities for our young people this summer.

"Thank you to everyone at Farnfields for your support, and especially to Kayla who put so much of her time and energy into the event, please know that your efforts really will provide plenty of fun and smiles this summer."

Ten teams took part in the quiz, and raffle prizes donated by local businesses and Farnfields staff helped raise funds.

Sarah Jones, Head of the Family Team at Farnfields, said: "We had an array of fantastic raffle prizes donated by local businesses and auctioned a signed rugby shirt, both of which really added to the event and helped to raise these all-important monies.

"Jacob's Ladder relies fully on donations to run their sessions and so we are over the moon to be donating over £740. We hope our donation will help the charity to host a summer full of exhilarating activities for the children and their families."
