HUNDREDS of people filled Devizes Market Place on Saturday as a free music concert drew people of all ages to the town centre to dance the night away.

Jemma and Anthony Brown from Fulltone Orchestra were delighted the success of the first Fulltone Festival and have pledged to return next year.

Mrs Brown said: "It was a massive success. We can't quite believe it."

Mr Brown the musical director of the Fulltone Orchestra said: "Never in a million years did we think that over 1500 people would come to and orchestral event in the centre of town.

"I am absolutely passionate about good music, of any genre and I really wanted to introduce the orchestra to the whole town.

"It has to be a free event to all to show them all kinds of music and done with a classical music twist. The amount of people who said 'I had no idea how much I loved Orchestra music' to me and to Jemma, was fantastic. Facebook has been alive with photos, videos and comments about what an amazing time they had.

"We did it, most importantly, to inspire, to inspire people to listen, to want to learn about music and maybe to blow the dust off an old instrument and get involved again. Some of my musicians played for nine hours - huge hats off to them.

"The day went off far better than I’d have hoped, the crowd just seemed to grow and grow."

The day started with the Fulltone Music School on stage at lunchtime and built to a crescendo with Ibiza Club Anthems.
