A footpath in Westbury has been closed for up to six months to enable underground drainage works to be installed for a new housing development.
The closure will affect users of Footpath 15 from its junction with Oldfield Road for a distance of about 180 metres in a northerly direction.
It will enable housebuilder Linden Homes to install underground drainage works in the area around the public right of way.
Wiltshire Council said footpath users will be able to use an alternative route around the southern boundary of the field. The closure came into operation on Monday July 22 July for six months and will be clearly signed.
For further information or for details of the diversion route, contact Simon Foy of Linden Homes on 07918 640293 or Paul Millard, Countryside Access Officer on 07788 445292.
