1st Steeple Ashton Guides as they set off on their Swiss visit
1st Steeple Ashton Guides have enjoyed a 10-day trip to Switzerland. 20 guides and 10 adults are making the trip to Interlaken, in the Bernese Oberland Region. While they were there they travelled on buses, trains, mountain railways, funicular trains, cable cars, trotti bikes and lake steamers.
As well as a visit to the International Guide Centre in Adelboden, they were due to take part in lots of walking in the region to places of interest and swimming in local pools, as well as white water rafting. The visit included Swiss National Day on August 1, which showed aspects of Swiss life in earlier times.
