Swindon Photographic Society’s annual exhibition is being held next week at the Brunel Arcade.

Its members work will be on show from Sunday.

John Day, publicist for the society, said: “Come and enjoy the wonderful prints from our members that will be on show.

"Don’t forget to vote for your favourite!

“There will be a range of digital photographs displayed on a large screen.

“Plus, special this year, all of the entries to our 120th Birthday Competition held earlier this year and open to all, will be on show.

“We are now in our 121st year and, although we cannot say for sure, we have been holding an annual exhibition for 121 years and there is a newspaper review of our annual exhibition of 1913 on our website.

“After all this time we must be doing something right!”

The society meets every Thursday between 7.30pm and 10pm from September through to May.

It aims to promote a friendly environment, where people with a shared interest in photography can see photos from others with a variety of experience.

To become a member of the society, all people need to do is attend one of the evenings, fill in a form and the club will do the rest.

Memberships cost £50 per year or £5 per visit to a meeting for non-members.
