A DECISION on the preferred supplier to build a new skate park for children in Bradford on Avon is likely to be announced soon.
Council leader Dom Newton said they plan to contact a company to notify them the contract is theirs.
The council had invited submissions of interest from several suppliers in order to replace a skate park at Poulton Field which was demolished last year after being vandalised.
Two companies have presentations to the town council in June and now one has been selected to proceed with the contract to design and build a new facility.
Following a request from local youngsters, Bradford on Avon Town Council has pledged to provide a new skate park central to the town.
Among the likely locations are community recreation areas at Poulton, Victory Field, Culver Close, the Barton Farm Country Park.
Cllr Newton said: "An announcement is expected shortly as soon as the preferred supplier has been contacted. We have not yet decided on a location."
