A TEAM of carers from local home Goodson Lodge, along members of their family and friends recently completed a sponsored skydive in order to raise funds for The Orders of St John Care Trust.
Dementia lead Sue Hilton, deputy manager Hannah Mason and care lead, Kirsty Haley, were joined by Kirsty’s partner, James and Gavin Sims, husband of one of the home’s activities co-ordinators and Paul Hudd, friend of Goodson Lodge to make up the team.
Daredevils Paul and Gavin jumped 15,000 ft, whilst Sue, Hannah and Kirsty jumped 10,000 ft.
The group has thanked their sponsors, Steve Vick International, Alpha Taxis, Glitter Bugs Nursery, Nick Lovell of NL Motor Services, Forrester Sylvester Mackett Solicitors who together pledged just over £2,000 for The Orders of St John Care Trust.
The charity provide care, support and housing to residents and tenants across homes and accommodation schemes across Wiltshire.
