CCTV images of two men which police would like to speak to in connection with an incident in Trowbridge have been released.
At 10.30pm on Friday August 2, two men were acting in an anti-social manner outside Frankie and Benny’s in St Stephen’s Place, Trowbridge.
The two men were verbally abusive towards a 31-year-old man, who they then spat at.
One of the men then punched the victim to the face, breaking his jaw. He was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment and surgery.
Both of the men fled the scene following the attack in an unknown direction.
PC Storm Brand said: “This was a really nasty attack which left the victim requiring surgery in hospital where they had to stay for several nights before being discharged.
“This level of violence is completely unacceptable and we would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident. There were a number of people in the area at the time of the assault so someone may have information which could help our investigation.”
