FAMILY carers of people living with dementia will be able to find information, tips and support at free training courses in Trowbridge this autumn.
The seven weekly sessions will run from September to November by Alzheimer’s Support.
The courses are funded by Wiltshire Council and are free to family carers.
There are also sessions on the practical aspects of caring, including financial and legal issues.
Alzheimer’s Support community services co-ordinator Kate Sharpe said: “We run these courses twice a year. People pick up invaluable tips for how to support their loved ones and how to look after themselves.
“Just meeting others in a similar situation can be helpful and carers who come often continue to get together informally after the course has ended.”
They will be held on Monday mornings at Trowbridge United Church in Stallard Street from September 30.
