A PROJECT to connect Chapmanslade with the towns of Westbury, Warminster and Frome is gathering pace.
Adam Mosley, from Connecting Chapmanslade, told Wiltshire Council's local area board for Westbury they wish to create wheelchair and pushchair-friendly cycling and walking routes away from the main roads.
The project's aim is to create a new National Cycling Network to take cyclists away from the main roads, making it safer and more healthy for those wishing to use the network.
The routes would be suitable for many different user groups as they would be wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
A number of confirmed and potential partners have been approached to support the project and the next step is to commission and carry out a feasibility study.
Area Board members noted their support for the project and looked forward to seeing the finished project.
