CASTLE Street’s newest business was pretty in pink at the weekend as beauticians at The Beauty Hut opened its doors for the first time.
Originally from Essex, owner Lucy Clarke started her career designing theatrical makeup at the Royal Opera house and worked on London Fashion Week.
She also helped The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodyer set up her own salon and is keen to bring a bit of Essex to Trowbridge after moving to Wiltshire Three and a half years ago to be closer to family.
Ms Clarke said: "I haven't slept for a week before the opening and want everything to be perfect. Owning a shop has always been a dream so when it came up I decided to go for it. I want the Beauty hut to be a warm and welcoming place to be.
"I have a daughter and so I want to be family friendly. We have mum and me pamper sessions for example and a huge pink unicorn in the shop to be really girly."
The Beauty Hut is offering 20 per cent discount to customers until September 30 as part of the opening.
