FIRE investigation officers were called out to an incident of suspected arson at the Hungerford Arms public house at Farleigh Hungerford on Monday morning (August 19).
A crew from Bradford on Avon was mobilised at 7.52am to a report of a fire in the premises, which have been empty for some time, and are available for lease.
They were supported by crews from Trowbridge, Westbury, Bath and Frome fire stations.
The firefighters used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a 45mm hose to extinguish the fire.
They received assistance from Wiltshire Police, who closed the A366 road while the crew dealt with the fire.
