AN ACTOR will perform in her home town, as part of her successful debut professional tour, when she takes to the stage at Trowbridge Town Hall this autumn.

Georgia Butt, of Horse Road, Hilperton, is looking forward to being back home when she performs as part of Kick In The Head’s Fagin?, on October 12.

The 20-year-old actor plays the role of Nancy, in the production, written and directed by Simon Downing, that only has three characters.

Georgia described it as being ‘very exciting’ to be back where it all started later this year.

She said: “It’s going to be really fun to be back in Trowbridge to perform in my latest show.

“I admit I already feel a little bit more pressure as there will be people I know in the audience, but it’ll still be really good.

“Beginning work on this tour, it was interesting to see the difference between amateur and professional productions.

“I think theatre is my favourite type of acting at this point in time, because I like to see audience reactions to my work, something that you don’t get in TV or film.

"Simon Downing's take on Oliver Twist's Fagin's story is very dark and interesting, it was exciting to be involved.

“Drama has always been the only subject I've truly enjoyed so I'm excited to bring my passion home."

The actor has enjoyed a successful debut tour so far, with Reviews Hub describing her performance as 'impeccable' and The Alton Herald saying her acting 'did not fail to astonish'.

Georgia had to beat fierce competition to land the role of Nancy in the tour, at the beginning of 2018.

Since then, the production has been put on in 16 theatres across the nation, from Yorkshire to Devon.

The tour continues until April 2020, when Georgia will look to advance her acting career even further.
