SELWOOD Housing Group, a local housing association based in Trowbridge, has opened a new office in Melksham.
The new office is located on the Bowerhill industrial estate and opened on August 12.
The new and larger premises extend to just over 4,700 square feet and will act primarily as a base for Selwood Housing Group’s repairs and maintenance social enterprise, Silcoa.
Chris George, group asset director at Selwood Housing Group, said, “Having outgrown our previous location, we’re very pleased to have found a new home in Melksham for Silcoa.
"The new office not only allows us to continue to provide a repairs and maintenance service to our customers, but also supports us in building on the efficiency of our operations; the new office location is tailored to our needs, enabling better storage, materials delivery and waste management."
Melksham Town councillor Martin Pain, a Selwood Housing Group board member, officially opened the building for staff.
Selwood Housing Group employs nearly 300 staff from its offices in Trowbridge and Melksham, around 100 of whom are employees of Silcoa.
The Group’s main office will remain situated at the Bryer Ash Business Park in Trowbridge.
