THE chance to relax and unwind, away from the stresses of work or a busy life, is on offer at Trowbridge Town Hall as Trio Paradis move in for a monthly series of concerts from September 3.

The trio, Jacquelyn Bevan on piano, Tim Robb on violin and Linda Stocks on cello, have been the Palm Court Trio in residence at Midsomer Norton Town Hall since 2012 and now bring their popular Palm Court concerts to Trowbridge.

The concerts offer a chance to take a relaxing lunchtime break in the beautiful Supper Room, with views of Trowbridge Park, whilst enjoying a wide variety of music, brought together in a themed programme. The players introduce the music and the atmosphere is informal with the event beginning at 1pm, music from 1.15pm.

September's theme is Pastoral Scenes, featuring Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Greensleeves and Linden Lea, along with music by Bach, Handel, Poulenc, Percy Grainger, Madeleine Dring and others.

October will feature the American Collection, November's theme is Fireworks and December's Winter Warmers.

The concerts are suitable for all ages. Refreshments, teas, coffee and cakes, are available in the Town Hall café before the concert, which lasts approximately 45 minutes. Entrance is free with a retiring collection.

Trio Paradis are members of Musicians South West CIC, a musicians' collective established in 2007 whose aim is to bring high quality musical and multi-arts performances to new audiences.
