PLANNERS have ruled that a bungalow can be knocked down and replaced with a two storey house in Edington.
Councillors from Wiltshire Council’s Western Planning committee ruled that homeowners can build their “forever home” after redesigning a previously refused home at Longlands Close.
Applicant Lisa Parmley said:”We’ve taken all the council and neighbours comments into accounts with this new design. We are not looking to make a change to the nice quiet environment as we think this is the wonderful, but to build an environmentally friendly home in the area.”
John Pollard of Edington Parish Council said: “The proposed development will be 92 per cent larger and two metres higher..”
Cllr Richard Gamble added: “I understand they want to enhance the tired bungalow. The main issue is the bulk and height and its effect on the landscape.”
