POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Trowbridge today (24/08/19).
Police were called to Roundstone Street at around 12.30pm due to a man in his 30s suffering a head injury.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics but has not attended hospital.
Acting Det Sgt James Fry, from Central CID, said: “At this stage of our investigation we believe the victim was assaulted in the street by a man who is known to him.
“We believe the suspect, who was wearing tracksuit bottoms and no top, left the scene on a pushbike.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who perhaps saw someone matching the suspect’s description in the area at the time, to call us.
"We would also like to hear from anyone in the area who may have dash cam footage which could assist with our enquiries."
