A DRIVER in a car which was stolen from Trowbridge has been charged with drink driving after a police chase near Chippenham.
Police who knew the Vauxhall Mokka had been taken from an address in Trowbridge on Monday (August 26) followed it after they were tipped off about its presence in Beanacre, at around 1.45am on Wednesday (August 28).
Officers gave chase until a stinger was used near Lackham, on the A350, halting the car.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle, driving while disqualified and drink-driving.
Greig Young, of no fixed address from the Trowbridge area, has been charged with taking a vehicle without consent, drink driving and driving without insurance. 
He has been remanded in custody and will appear in court at a later date
