FRESH from their recent well-received performance for Pirate’s Day in the town centre, Allsorts Community Choir are back for the Autumn term. The choir is a not-for-profit organisation run by a committee elected from its members.

Choir member Charles Rousell said: "Our Musical Director is Marius Frank, who leads us by playing keyboard or guitar, and assists us to practise via Dropbox by recording his wife, Cindy Stratton, singing the various harmonies. We meet weekly at Sheldon Road Methodist Church, Chippenham, and have performed at many local venues including village and school fairs, the Calne Spring Sings, community events (inc. scarecrow trails!), residential homes, and have previously joined up with other local choirs for performances.

"Our name is Allsorts and we have all sorts of voices with a mix of genders and ages (18+) and sing all sorts of songs ranging from pop & rock, operettas & Disney, to country & swing. Is it too early to mention Christmas carols too?

"Are you looking for something new? We offer two FREE taster sessions for people to discover what we do and if we’re the right fit for them. It’s only £3 per session once joined (paid term by term). Auditions, ability to read music, & experience are NOT necessary - just a love of singing and a wonderful sense of fun."
