THE armed forces charity, SSAFA, is to make a presentation at the Wiltshire MIND Annual General Meeting next month.
The event takes place on Thursday, October 3 at 2pm at the King’s Arms Hotel, Market Place, Melksham.
The AGM also includes a presentation from Wiltshire MIND’s Chief Executive, Carolyn Beale.
Wiltshire MIND provides local support for anyone experiencing mental health issues, including armed forces veterans.
The charity provides six support groups in Melksham, Trowbridge, Chippenham, Devizes, Malmesbury and Salisbury.
It also runs groups for carers in Devizes and Chippenham and an evening support group in Melksham.
Wiltshire MIND also provides around 200 sessions per month of 1-1 Counselling in Melksham for adults and a young people’s counselling service for those 11+. In Trowbridge, it provides a Polish counselling service.
In addition, the charity provides mental health awareness training, stress/anxiety and mindfulness training to businesses/organisations.
