Theft charge withdrawn
On August 16, the Wiltshire Times published an article stating that Joseph Akerman, 29, of Union Street, Melksham, would appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court on September 4 to face a charge of theft.
Wiltshire Police said that Mr Akerman had been arrested on Sunday, August 11 on suspicion of shoplifting.
We would like to make it clear that when the case came before Swindon Magistrates Court on September 4, the charge against Mr Akerman was withdrawn.
