THE youngest son of Swindon icon Diana Dors has died at the age of 50.

Jason Dors Lake died on September 11, just four days after his 50th birthday.

Facebook group Diana Dors: The Legacy announced the tragic news on Sunday.

A spokesman said: "It saddens me to inform you of the passing of Diana's youngest son, Jason Dors Lake at the age of 50.

"Please join me in offering condolences, thoughts and prayers to Jason's loved ones and close friends at this time.

"It is not known how he died but family and friends are said to be shocked at his sudden death."

Mr Dors Lake unveiled a plaque honouring his mother in Swindon back in 2017.

More than 100 people gathered outside 61 and 62 Kent Road for the occasion as he and his daughter Ruby Lake arrived in a 1959 pink Cadillac owned by the star.

Mr Lake was the son of actor Alan Lake and was best known for roles in Just William, Into the Labyrinth and The Blonde Bombshell.

He acquired the rights to his mother's estate following her death in 1984.

Diana Dors was known as the British Marilyn Monroe and starred in more than 60 films on both sides of the Atlantic.
