PARENTS of rugby-loving youngsters in Bradford on Avon are fundraising to send their offspring to Italy in April 2020.

The 20-strong squad - which includes two girls - will fly out to Palma for four days of matches against local teams.

U11s coach, Will Wright, said: "We are having our own Six Nations competition. So far, we've been to Wales and England. Next stop is Italy, and then it's Scotland, Ireland and France."

To raise funds for the trip, the parents have organised their own local competition to coincide with the Rugby World Cup which kicks off in Tokyo on Friday, September 20.

Supporters will be able to obtain trail maps in Bradford on Avon Library, the BoA Tourist Information Centre, The Shambles Cafe and the Holt Superstore.

They will be able to follow clues to find rugby balls with the names of 14 of the 20 nations taking part in the Rugby World Cup. In addition, three mascot balls will be hidden in the three-week knock-out stage.

The Rugby World Cup takes place from September 20 to November 2.

The 20 nations taking part are Argentina, Australia, Canada, England, Fiji, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Namibia, New Zealand, Russia, Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, Tonga, USA, Uruguay and Wales.
